John T. Collins, CPA
John is involved in all aspects of accounting, auditing, tax planning, acquisition reviews, budgeting, forecasting, and management advisory services for a variety of clients with an emphasis on those in the real estate and construction industry.
He has extensive experience working with large real estate clients who are involved in the development, ownership, operation and management of commercial office buildings, shopping centers, residential rental properties and condominiums. He assists clients in many aspects of their businesses, including the analysis of purchase, sale and financing transactions, cash flow projections, present value analyses and tax projections.
John has extensive experience in evaluating internal control systems and making recommendations for improvements. He has assisted clients in matters of compliance with regulatory provisions, contracts and other documents.
John is the Treasurer, Past President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Kiwanis Club of Garden City, a member and Past Treasurer of the Garden City Historical Society and an active member of the Garden City Chamber of Commerce.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).
