Scott O'Sullivan, CPA
Scott is a tax partner with over 15 years of experience. At MWE, Scott serves in the Real Estate Practice Group, where he is heavily involved in tax planning and deal structuring, including 1031 exchanges, cost segregation studies, and other transactions on behalf of prominent real estate developers and investors, property managers, nursing home owners and operators and other diverse businesses. He joined MWE in 1996 as a senior accountant initially serving in the firm’s Audit Department and subsequently the Tax Department.
In 2005, Scott’s achievements were recognized by Long Island Business News which identified him as one of the “Top Five to Watch in Commercial Real Estate.” He was also named one of Real Estate Weekly’s “Rising Stars.”
Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Villanova University and a Master of Science in Taxation from Hofstra University. Additionally, he has successfully completed various real estate finance and investment courses at New York University’s School of Continuing & Professional Studies’ Real Estate Institute. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and the Long Island Real Estate Group (LIREG).
